Title: CIGARETTE SMOKING, IS IT A SIMPLELEARNING HABIT OR SOMETHING ELSE?
Author: Abdul. Nasser*, Ali Alsulami and Najwa Ahmadr
Keyword: Smoking, habit, subconscious programs. Willpower
Page No: 138-143
Abstract: Because of the rise in the number of deaths, the world is facing a challenge to reduce the number of smokers. To do so we need to know if smoking is just a simple habit with willpower alone smokers ca n quit or is it a learning habit controlled by subconscious programs? The high failure rate among those who tried to quit smoking using their willpower alone supports the idea that it is not just a simple bad habit but it is a bad habit controlled by one or more subconscious programs. Method: A cross-sectional survey was conducted in Riyadh in the period between November 2021 till January 2023 on 108 participants who were grouped into 3 groups according to the age of start smoking [group 1 (18 years or less), group 2 (19-29 years), group 3 (>30 years)], and the smoking habit was assessed in relation to the five gateways to the subconscious mind [repetition, authority(obey/rebel), desire for identity or ego, and emotion]. Result: Most of study participants whose age is 18 year or younger start smoking to rebel one or more authority figures in their life. Also more than half of young study participants started smoking because they were looking for identity and like to be identify as smoker. On other hand, the majority use smoke as a stress cooping tool and reward tool as well. Conclusion: The study found that to help people quit smoking and increase the success rate, the program most includes a therapy which has the ability to detect and substitute or replace old SC mind program with a new healthy one, because smoking is a complex habit.Download PDF

Title: THE MECHANISM OF INTERACTION OF NATURAL PHYSICAL FACTORS AND THE INTEGRAL ORGANISM FORMS THE BASIS OF THE GENERAL THEORY OF PHYSIOTHERAPY
Author: Vladimir Dodtievich Bitsoev
Keyword: Evanescent IR spectroscopy, quantum tunneling, "super-perfect energy information field", general theory of physiotherapy.
Page No: 144-162
Abstract: Optimal combination of drug therapy and physical factors increases the efficacy of treatment and medical rehabilitation of patients. It is regrettable that the search for methods to improve the indivi dual dosing of the applied energies with an approach to the cellular level of dynamicity (constant correction of parameters of the applied physical factors during the whole period of the treatment) and comprehensive (in the presence of several diseases) treatment are clearly insufficient for the present time. Perhaps such a search is difficult due to the current lack of a general theory of physiotherapy and imperfect classification of physical factors. Thus, it became necessary to develop principles and methods for a comprehensive study of the effects produced by the physical methods in a clinical setting, and the requirements for testing new devices for physiotherapy sharply increased. The author of this doctrine was an outstanding scientist Vladimir Sergeyevich Ulashchik. In his opinion, the creation of a general theory of physiotherapy is one of the promising tasks of the scientific physiotherapy. It is known that since the end of the XIX century, the principles of nervism and reflex theory have been the theoretical basis of domestic physiotherapy. Influence of humoral and endocrine changes was further added to the reflex theory of the mechanism of the therapeutic effect of the external environment (natural and preformed physical factors), but still with the leading principle of nervism. It should be noted that there have always been doubts about the exhaustive explanation of the reflex theory of all causes and consequences of the interaction of external physical factors with the human body. Based on this, the "permanent" problems remained unresolved: • The general and the specific in the action of physical factors; • Their action selectivity; • Correlation between the nervous and the humoral, the local and the general, the functional and the morphological with a single and course application of physiotherapy; • Impossibility to determine the "dose-effect"; • Nature of the body's primary reactions to the external environment; • Direction of the processes that determine the final result of the interaction of external physical factors and the integral organism; • Implementation of all potential possibilities of obtaining the maximum desired positive clinical effect during physiotherapy. Thanks to the huge success of quantum mechanics (optics), chemistry, biology, supramolecular chemistry, fiber-optic physics, it became necessary to revise the mechanism of action of the physical factor and the response of the integral organism in order to diagnose, prevent, treat and rehabilitate patients. Quantum therapy originated before the Common Era, when a man began to consciously apply "natural factors" for therapeutic purposes with a controlling "verbal support and explanation." The philosophy of using natural factors for therapeutic purposes changed with further development of scientific, technical and humanitarian disciplines (mathematics, mechanics, physics, chemistry, biology, etc.). At the same time, the culture of external influence on the integral organism of any forces and means changed and improved, i.e. the use of "natural factors" for therapeutic purposes acquired a systemic nature with further emergence of a new scientific discipline in medicine, i.e. "physiotherapy". Its fundamental nature is that the entire Universe, the Cosmos and the World around us consist of elementary particles (quanta), which are unique and exist in three-dimensional measurement. Title: COMPARISON OF UDPdownT TRAFFIC FOR SINGLE AND MULTIPLE USERS
Author: Joy N. Ayidu, Itua O. Akhideno*
Keyword: IEEE802.11b/g; UDPdownT, WLAN, User Datagram Protocol; Throughput, Signal to Noise Ratio
Page No: 170-174
Abstract: The number of Internet-connected devices is growing exponentially yearly. One of the most common modes of accessing the internet for most devices is through the use of Wireless Local Area Network (WLA N) technology. In this scenario two types of flows are to be distinguished; User Datagram Protocol downstream throughput (UDPdownT) single user and User Datagram Protocol downstream throughput (UDPdownT) multiple users, based on respective signal to noise ratio (SNR) under different activities or traffic scenarios in the download stream. The WLAN technology investigated is the IEE802.11 b/g specifically. Dataset obtained from the experiment was used to develop a models base on the scenarios previously described (single and multiple user) and were used to provide insight into the scenarios. The result shows that the UDPdownT flow for single-user scenario in throughput ranked higher than the multiple-user scenario with an overall average difference of 6.07 Mbps. Title: EVOLUTION OF ROGUE WAVES AND BREATHER OPTICAL SOLITONS IN INHOMOGENEOUS NONLINEAR SCHRÖDINGER EQUATION
Author: Sameer Al-Khawaja
Keyword: Optical soliton; rogue wave; nonlinear Schrödinger equation.
Page No: 175-185
Abstract: This paper reports results of soliton dynamics investigated by solving the inhomogeneous Schrödinger equation (INLSE), which involves terms describing defects mostly encountered in optical systems. So lutions to the INLSE yield breather and rogue solitons arising initially from smooth pulses, for which their evolution is explored by analysing the parameter space and applying external perturbation that is quasiperiodic in nature. We demonstrate that the solitons can be controlled by proper adjustment to both the inhomogeneity parameter and frequency of the externally applied signal, for which rogue and localised breather waves could be generated. Further, we argue that the resulting solitons stand robust against the uniformly distributed noise seeded into the system. The findings help reveal factors that impact the dynamics of such solitons and tailoring them for potential photonic applications. Title: A STUDY OF CITATIONS AND THEIR INFLUENCE WITHIN THE CONTEXT OF SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH IN MYANMAR
Author: Hlaing Htake Khaung Tin*, Sithu, KoKo Maung
Keyword: Scientists, developing countries, citation, analysis, impact, Myanmar.
Page No: 186-194
Abstract: Citation analysis has become an important tool for researchers, publishers, and funding agencies seeking to evaluate the impact and quality of scholarly research. However, it is important to recognize that citation metrics are only one measure of impact and should be interpreted in light of other factors, such as the quality and novelty of the research, the relevance to the field, and the broader societal impact of the work. Scientists in developing countries need to understand the challenges that can arise during research, and the emergence of many scientists is also very important. In Myanmar, scientists study a variety of topics related to the research, which is based on the research findings, such as Agriculture and Forestry, Arts, Design and Architecture, Business and Management, Economics and Econometrics, Education, Engineering and Technology, History, Philosophy, Theology, Law/ Law and Legal Studies, Medical and Health Sciences, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences and others. According to the Ad Scientific Index, there are 156 scientists from 37 universities in Myanmar. Citation analysis can provide valuable insights into the impact and influence of scholarly research in a variety of scientific fields, and can help researchers, publishers, and funding agencies to identify areas of strength and areas in need of further development. The research is using data from the Ad Scientific Index Website, which offers evaluations of journals and universities based on scientific performance and the added value of scientific productivity by individual researchers. The website also provides rankings of institutions based on the scientific attributes of affiliated scientists. Keywords: Scientists, developing countries, citation, analysis, impact, Myanmar.
